Parts of State Route 7 will begin to be resurfaced next week.

A press release from Tift County states that 12-miles of Route 7 from a location just north of Rural Development Road to the Cook County line will be resurfaced starting on Monday, April 29.

The project will run through Friday, May 17 and will take place each night from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m.

Lane closures will be required; other work not requiring lane closures will be carried out during daytime hours. Throughout this project, personnel and heavy equipment will be working in close proximity to the roadway. Motorists are requested to drive slowly and exercise extreme caution at all times in this work zone.
