Significant Weather Advisory: Clay (AL) and Henry (GA) Counties until 1:15am Central/2:15am Eastern

A strong thunderstorm could affect Abbeville and nearby communities over the next half-hour.

The National Weather Service in Tallahassee issued a Significant Weather Advisory until 2:15am Eastern (1:15am Central) for Henry County in Aabama and Clay County in Georgia.

The storm, near Georgetown and Coates, was moving south at 15 miles per hour. It could contain strong winds between 40 and 50 miles per hour.

The storm will be near Abbeville around 1:15am Central.
