MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) -- A judge has delayed sentencing for 10 people from four states who pleaded guilty in a federal dog fighting investigation.

U.S. District Judge Keith Watkins had originally scheduled them for sentencing Aug. 12 in Montgomery. But prosecutors said they needed more than one day to present testimony about the condition of more than 400 dogs seized in the investigation and about the involvement of each defendant.

The judge issued an order Thursday rescheduling sentencing for Oct. 29-31 in Montgomery.

Scheduled for sentencing are Donnie Anderson and Michael Martin of Auburn, Sandy Brown of Brownsville, Irkis Forrest of Theodore, Robin Stinson of Elba, William Antone Edwards of Brantley, Larry Watford of Adel, Georgia, Ricky Van Le of Biloxi, Mississippi, Demontt Allen of Houston, Texas, and Jennifer Hayden McDonald of Fairburn, Georgia.
