The Seminole County Corps of Engineers is holding a hydrilla strategy meeting on Tuesday.
They are trying to come up with a plan to fight the hydrilla that is taking over Lake Seminole and how to fund that plan.
According to the corps, since the hydrilla action plan went into effect, they have been using herbicides, confined releases of grass carp, hydrilla flies, mechanical harvesting and Lake Drawn-Downs.
Officials say the cops could win the battle against the weeds, if it received annual funding.
The Lake Seminole Association, Seminole County Commissioners and area residents hope to decide the funding issue on Tuesday.
They are holding a public meeting at 3 p.m. to discuss possible strategies. The meeting will be at the Community Picnic Shelter at Lake Seminole State Park.
