MARIETTA, Ga. (AP) -- Authorities say the filming of a movie starring Vince Vaughn and Ben Stiller is expected to disrupt some traffic around the historic Marietta Square.
Officials say that film crews are expected to arrive in Marietta
Thursday. CBS Atlanta reports that the crews will be working to give buildings around the Square an aged appearance, and they plan to paint signs, cover awnings and replace window displays in stores.
Then, Friday night crews plan to turn off lights around the Square and on top of buildings to create a dark, alien-friendly atmosphere.
In the film, Stiller's character and others form a neighborhood watch group, which is their last hope of saving the area and the world from being destroyed. Marietta is about 20 miles northwest of Atlanta.
