Man Accused Of Shooting Wife Returns to Georgia

ATLANTA (AP) -- The husband accused of shooting his wife eight times outside of their Sandy Springs apartment has returned to Georgia.
Michael Parson was arrested in Texas earlier this month. Police say he will be charged with aggravated assault, aggravated battery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, giving false statement in writing concealing the facts of a felony and marijuana possession.
Adina Parson, an attorney for the state Department of Public Health, is making significant progress after being shot three times in the head on April 20.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports Michael Parson was extradited to Georgia on Saturday and booked into Fulton County jail. He was being held Monday afternoon without bond.
Police have not released information regarding a motive in the shooting.
