A man has been charged with killing a Charleston area convenience store clerk, and authorities think he's linked to a second killing and the disappearance of a third woman in Clarendon County.

Charleston County Sheriff Al Cannon says he has warrants charging 31-year-old Jeffery Eady with murder in the death of Chrystal Johnson.

Cannon says Eady killed the 37-year-old mother of three before ransacking her store and driving to Georgia.

Cannon says state and federal authorities are looking for Eady there.

Authorities say they also want to question Eady in the Thursday shooting death of a 65-year-old Clarendon County woman and the disappearance of a 77-year-old woman there.

State prison officials say Eady was released a year ago after serving more than a decade for armed robbery.
