Man Charged in Drive-In Killing Pleads Not Guilty

DECATUR, Ga. (AP) -- A man charged in a fatal shooting at a drive-in movie theater in Atlanta has pleaded not guilty.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports (http://bit.ly/Q8igC2 ) that Quentric Shaymond Williams entered his plea Monday. He faces charges of murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, fleeing to elude police and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He's being held without bond.
Prosecutors say Williams shot Mitt Lenix on May 15 at the Starlight Drive-in Theater.

Authorities have said Lenix was apparently having car trouble at the Starlight Drive-In Theater when he approached Williams for help. Police said Williams say Lenix and fled. Officers chased Williams' vehicle until it crashed. Officers located and arrested Williams the next day.

One of the police officers rushing to help in the chase struck and fatally wounded a pedestrian.
