There's one underlying factor to keeping your kids safe when it comes to guns-education.
Its better to be safe than sorry. That saying applies to everyone regardless of your age.
"Common sense, safety for children or anyone else that might see a firearm in the home," says Ronald Fuller, Owner of Southern Outdoor Sports.
In the past you could buy gun locks bu the industry is changing.
Fuller says, "Some firearms have built in locks and all of the new guns come with a trigger lock. The best thing is to have a safe, to put your valuables and your firearms in."
Having a safe in your home is a good way to keep them out of reach.
But out of sight doesn't always mean out of mind.
Which is why teaching your kids about guns is important.
