Georgia Launches Online International Exports Directory

ATLANTA (AP) -- The state has created an online directory to help increase the global visibility of Georgia's exporters.

The Department of Economic Development started the directory so international buyers can easily find Georgia products or services. The companies are searchable by industry category, keyword, geographic markets and company name.

Companies of all sizes can apply online at http://www.georgiaexportdirectory.com . So far, the site has 544 companies registered.

Companies that want to place more in-depth information in the directory must pay a fee, but basic listings are free.

Georgia is the country's 12th-leading state in the dollar value of exports. Last year, the state recorded its highest-ever total for the value of goods exported during a single year: $34.7 billion.
