It's estimated some 2,500 young people abuse prescription painkillers every day.

That's why Georgia lawmakers have launched a campaign to cut down on teens abusing prescription drugs.

"Generation X" is being funded by a 2.6 million dollar grant from the substance abuse and mental health services administration.

It will focus on Georgian's ages 12 to 25 and use education and collaboration with law enforcement to crack down on prescription drug abuse among young people.
