More than 50,000 people each year come to Atlanta for the Dragon Con convention.
It’s a four-day science fiction and fantasy convention where thousands of attendees dress up as their favorite fantasy characters.
It's all in good fun, But for some like Monika Lee, of Atlanta, it's a lot of work too.
Lee is one of the stars of the new syfy reality television series "Heroes of Cosplay."
At this year's Dragon Con, lee was busy meeting the demands of her newfound fame.
But it all begins back at her parent's home in the nearby suburbs.
There she makes everything by hand.
Still, cosplay is taking Lee around the world.
Lee says, “I've been invited to one in Montreal, Canada and then one in Guadalajara, Mexico and this past November my friend invited me to an event in Japan."
There's only a little money in it for lee at this point. But every bit helps.
But until the next convention -- it's back to hitting the books at Georgia Tech.
