MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) -- Federal prosecutors say a Columbus, Georgia man has been sentenced for shooting at two Phenix City, Alabama police officers and menacing other law enforcement officials.
Authorities said Tuesday that 24-year-old Robert Lorenzo Anderson was sentenced to 35 years in prison on charges of attempted murder and menacing.
Officials say Anderson jumped from a window at an apartment complex and ran from officers who were responding to calls about shots being fired in July. Prosecutors say Anderson pointed a gun at the officers and fired before he was shot in the leg and taken into custody.
