ATLANTA (AP) -- A 28-year-old Douglas County woman was sentenced to 12 years in prison for intentionally running over her ex-boyfriend.
WSB-TV reports Vanessa Garrett-Rogers, of Hiram, was sentenced Monday and was ordered to pay over $57,000 in restitution.
In 2010, Garrett-Rogers ran over her ex-boyfriend after he broke up with her. The impact crushed the man's pelvis, femur and skull.
Garrett-Rogers, a mother of two, is out on bond and is scheduled to begin her prison sentence Jan. 2.
