If highway 27 in Georgia is part of your daily drive, be prepared for some traffic changes this week.
On Wednesday, traffic will be shifted to newly-constructed lanes north of Suttons Corner in Clay County.
The new road extends north to the Clay-Randolph County Line.
The work is part of a project to widen the highway from 2 lanes to 4.
Crews will begin removing the old roadway after traffic is shifted.
Then, construction will begin on the new southbound lanes.
