ALBANY, Ga. (AP) -- Three siblings accused in a multistate crime spree have pleaded not guilty to charges of pulling off a daring bank robbery in south Georgia.
Ryan Dougherty, Lee Grace Dougherty and Dylan Stanley-Dougherty entered the plea Tuesday at a court hearing in Albany. They are accused of robbing a bank in Valdosta, Ga., hours after escaping from police in Florida. They were captured about a week later after a police chase and shootout in Colorado.
The trio received lengthy prison sentences last month in Colorado for the mayhem they caused there, and they're also expected to face criminal charges in Florida.
The three said little at Tuesday's court appearance. At the Colorado sentencing hearing Lee Dougherty apologized for her "poor judgment" and Dylan Stanley-Dougherty said he acted "out of desperation."
