FORT BENNING, Ga. (AP) -- Soldiers from Army infantry, armor and cavalry units will be gathering for a conference at Fort Benning next month.
The west Georgia Army post is hosting the 2013 Maneuver Warfighter Conference. The five-day conference is scheduled for the week of Sept. 9.
Fort Benning officials say conference attendees will see presentations and panel discussions on training methods and new technology. Contractors for the defense industry will also be given space to showcase their products.
Maj. Gen. H.R. McMaster, Fort Benning's commanding general, plans to address the conference. Commandants of the Army's Infantry and Armor Schools, which are both based at Fort Benning, are also scheduled to speak.
