Ex-Cons to Replace Immigrants on Farms?

Out-of-work ex-cons in Georgia could soon get new job offers in the farm industry.

Farm owners in the state say they're losing workers because of a new law that cracks down on illegal immigrants. Now, Governor Nathan Deal is proposing they hire people who are on probation.

Several farmers are testing out the idea this week, but some say they're worried about the safety of their families and just how reliable the probationers will be.

The immigration law was passed in April. It goes into effect July 1.
