PHENIX CITY, Ala. (AP) -- Authorities have identified a man whose body was pulled from the Chattahoochee River on Sunday as 44-year-old John Taomandge Attaway.
Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan says that no cause of death has been determined, but no visible injuries were found on the body. Bryna said Attaway was homeless and may have been staying in his vehicle, which was found in Phenix City.
Phenix City police had found the man's car and wallet near the 13th Street Bridge.
