Military officials say an Army helicopter was forced to make an emergency landing at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah.
The Savannah Morning News reports that the chopper landed Monday afternoon after the crew discovered that its hydraulics had failed. No injuries were reported.
Army Capt. Chad Ashe said pilots of the OH-58 Kiowa Warrior helicopter had traveled about 25 miles from the base when they noticed the failure around 2:30 p.m. and headed back to the base.
The 3rd Combat Aviation Brigade of the Army's 3rd Infantry Division is investing the cause of the hydraulic failure.
