SPRINGFIELD, Ga. (AP) - A teenager has died when the car she was
riding in flipped over several times on a Effingham County road.
Effingham County sheriff's spokesman David Ehsanipoor told The
Savannah Morning News that 17-year-old Whiney Newman of
Springfield died in accident early Sunday morning.
A Springfield teenager was pronounced dead at the scene of a
one-vehicle accident early this morning in Effingham County.
Ehsanipoor said Newman was a back seat passenger in the
Chevrolet Tracker that flipped over several times after the driver
Ehsanipoor said two other teenage passengers, one male and one
female, were transported to Memorial University Medical Center
where they remain in critical condition
No information was available concerning the driver, an 18-year-old male.
