ATLANTA (AP) - Two off-duty Atlanta police officers find themselves in legal hot water after they were arrested for shooting into Lake Allatoona.
The Cherokee County Sheriff's office said deputies responded after several citizens called 911 about the gunfire.
Jay Baker, a sheriff's spokesman, identified the officers as 43-year-old Dan Rasmussen and 31-year-old Chad Armstrong. He said both were charged with reckless conduct.
Two others, including Rasmussen's wife, were also taken into custody.
Rasmussen and Armstrong were released from custody after posting bond.
The two officers were suspended with pay.
