COLLEGE PARK, Ga. (AP) - Fulton County school officials say a
6-year-old kindergartner came to school with a loaded handgun.

School spokeswoman Susan Hale says the boy showed off the gun to
a classmate at Heritage Elementary School in College Park, and that
the classmate told a staff member.

Administrators confiscated the gun, which Hale described as a small handgun.

Hale says the boy's father was called to the school and met with
administrators.

She says there's no indication the boy intended to harm anyone.

Hale says the boy will be out of school at least until he and his parents appear before a school system tribunal, which will be held in seven to 10 days.
