Residents in one small Georgia town will soon have a new place to grocery shop.
The new grocery store will be located at the site of the old Harvey's Grocery building on North Main Street in Blakely.
Ground breaking is expected to take place sometime in early to mid summer.
The store could employ up to 50 people.
The development is a part of the Early County 2055 plan which includes economic development, enhancement of cultural amenities, removal of dilapidated and sub-standard buildings and enhancing retail options.
The store will be managed by Dothan based Wallstreet Markets, LLC., which manages the Piggly Wiggly's in Enterprise and Dothan.
