VALDOSTA, Ga. (AP) - Health officials in Tift and Turner
counties have issued a boil-water alert for customers who receive
drinking water from private wells.
Health officials say many private wells likely were contaminated
by heavy rainfall from Friday and Saturday.
Customers are advised to bring their water to a full boil for at
least two minutes before consuming.
Another option is to use bottled water.
