MONROEVILLE, Ala. (AP) - Alabama authorities have canceled an
Amber Alert after a Georgia infant and his mother were found
The alert for 7-month-old Christopher Grier and Shashawana Odell
were issued Saturday.
Police said both were kidnapped early Saturday from their home
in Grovetown, Ga., near Augusta.
The baby and his mom are back home after their ordeal.
Their well-being was confirmed by deputies during a traffic stop Sunday in Newton County, Ga.
The suspect, Christopher Grier Sr., reportedly forced the boy's
mother to drive him to Monroeville, Ala., where he has relatives.
The elder Grier, who was also wanted in a home invasion Friday
night, remains at large.
