ATLANTA (AP) - Authorities say a 16-year-old student has been
stabbed on an Atlanta school campus after an off-campus fight. The
student is being treated at the hospital for what are described as
Atlanta Public Schools spokesman Joe Manguno says the teenager
and two others have been charged in the incident.
Manguno says an 18-year-old student was walking near The New Schools at Carver after classes were dismissed for the day Tuesday
when he was attacked by another 18-year-old Carver student and the
16-year-old, a student at Crim High School.
He says the student who was attacked went home, got a knife and returned to Carver, chased the other two and stabbed the younger
student in the side.
All three were charged with aggravated assault.
Manguno says security will be beefed up on the Carver campus on
