Jury selection Tuesday in Lithonia boy's death

ATLANTA (AP) - Jury selection is scheduled today before DeKalb Superior Court Judge Clarence Seeliger in the murder trial of 34-year-old Herbert Gerald Warren, who is charged in the Jan. 2, 2006 death of 4-year-old Jaydin Martin.

Warren claims Jaydin fell off a home barstool, but a doctor says Jaydin had multiple head injuries. The child was injured at the mother's home near Lithonia.

According police, Warren was the boyfriend of Jaydin's mother.

Arrested shortly after the death, Warren was freed on bond until he was indicted by a grand jury in March 2008. Authorities said he then fled and was jailed again May 7 without bond.
