ATLANTA (AP) - Gov. Sonny Perdue says a trailer manufacturer will build a plant and distribution center in Cordele and create 130 jobs while investing $7 million.
The governor says Big Tex Trailer Manufacturing will develop the complex over the next two or three years.
Big Tex has purchased property near Interstate 75, including two buildings totaling 174,000 square feet on 55 acres of land for the plant and distribution center.
The governor's office says distribution operations are expected to begin in the spring, and manufacturing operations are expected to begin in the last quarter of the year.
The company says the Georgia plant will help it serve dealers in the eastern part of the country.
