3 Arrested for Illegal Alligator Hunting in Florida

The Florida Wildlife Commission said three people have been charged with illegal alligator hunting and expect another six to be charged soon.

A plain clothed FWC Officer overheard two men talking about alligator hunting in Wakulla County.

An investigation led them to find out that the men had killed four alligators. The animals were killed in Wakulla and Jefferson Counties in Florida and Cairo, Georgia.

Alligator season does not officially open in Florida until August 15.
