Georgia deputy charged in sex case denied bond

ATLANTA, Ga. (AP) - Bond has been denied for a Bibb County sheriff's deputy charged with using a computer to entice a child.

42-year-old Gregory Todd Bowen appeared at a hearing Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Atlanta.

The FBI said Bowen was arrested Feb. 11. He allegedly arranged to meet a mother and her 7-year-old daughter for sex. But the mother was an undercover federal agent.

Bowen, who has served as a deputy since 2001, was suspended from his job.

He was being held without bond.
