ATHENS, Ga. (AP) - University of Georgia officials say the
number of applications for admission reached a record 18,100 by the
Jan. 15 deadline.
That is 3 percent more than the 17,600 applications a year ago.
There were 32,177 students enrolled at Georgia in spring 2008,
down slightly from the 32,510 in spring 2007.
The 2008 fall enrollment of 34,180 is the largest in school history.
