CUMMING, Ga. (AP) - Investigators believe a Forsyth County woman who claimed her house was set ablaze because she supported President Obama may have fabricated the story.
Forsyth Co. Fire Capt. Jason Shivers said 47-year-old Pamela Graf has not been formally charged. He said she is a suspect in a Jan. 18 fire that damaged her residence near Cumming.
Graf previously told authorities she was in Washington, D.C., to attend inaugural festivities when the fire occurred.
Graf and her boyfriend, 46-year-old Steve Strobel, were arrested Tuesday night on unrelated drug charges. Strobel was charged with
making false statements about the fire and obstruction of justice.
Shivers said additional charges are pending.
