ATLANTA (AP) - Rebuilding is about to begin at the Atlanta
Botanical Garden, six weeks after a pedestrian walkway collapsed,
killing one worker and injuring 18.

Spokesman Barkley Russell of the Hardin Construction Co. says
work should resume within two weeks and last about three months.

The executive director of the garden, Mary Pat Matheson, says
officials hope to open the new canopy walk in spring 2010, the same time a planned edible garden is scheduled to debut.

Russell says three workers injured in the Dec. 19 accident have
returned to work, two others have been approved for light duty and 13 workers remain in outpatient recovery.
