The service for 16-year-old Garrett Reed will be held at 2 p.m.
at First Baptist Church of Powder Springs.
Burial will be at Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery in Marietta.
Cobb County police Sgt. Dana Pierce says Reed was driving a
black 1994 Lexus when he crossed the center line and hit another
car about 12:30 a.m. Saturday.
The wreck happened less than a mile from Harrison High School,
where Reed was a junior wide receive and defensive back.
Pierce says the other driver was taken to Wellstar Kennestone
Hospital in stable condition.
Football coach David Hines says he will gather the team together
Monday and offer counseling.
Pierce says investigators will examine the crash scene Monday.
