SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) - Savannah police are searching for a 32-year-old Army soldier who has been missing since Monday, when she failed to pick up her teenage daughter at school.
Savannah-Chatham County police say Sgt. Charlana McKenzie was last seen by her 14-year-old daughter Sunday night before she went to bed. The daughter told police her mother usually leaves for Fort Stewart in the morning before she goes to school, but always picks
her up in the afternoons.
Police were interviewing McKenzie's relatives Wednesday, but haven't said they suspect foul play.
McKenzie is assigned to a support battalion of the 3rd Infantry Division's 1st Brigade Combat Team at Fort Stewart.
