PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. (AP) - The time to bundle up in Georgia is at hand.
The National Weather Service in Peachtree City says temperatures in the north Georgia mountains and areas outside Atlanta will dwindle to single digits on Friday and Saturday. A hard freeze warning is in the forecast for south Georgia.
There's a slight chance of snow flurries in the mountains Sunday, but temperatures will rise above freezing during the day. The low Friday in the mountains is expected to be 7 degrees and 6 degrees Saturday.
Peachtree City has the low forecast for the Atlanta area - 9 degrees on Friday and 3 degrees Saturday. Downtown Atlanta is expected to see a low of 14 degrees Friday morning and 13 on Saturday.
Lows in the south will be in the 20s on Friday and upper teens on Saturday.
