A Georgia textile plant is the latest victim of a poor economy.
Spalding county officials announced this week, a Griffin textile plant plans to shut down next month and move its operations to Brazil.
The company, formerly called Dundee Mills, had employed about two thousand people in the 80’s but has slowly dwindled to employ about 350 people.
The plant manufactures towels and other textiles.
The Griffin plant was at one point the area's largest employer.
