Dozens of Morris Brown College alumni, supporters and students gathered for a rally Saturday to help the embattled institution raise funds.
The college needs help paying a 380-thousand dollar water bill. The city of Atlanta turned off the school’s water on December 15.
Unless the bill is paid in full, the school will not reopen when classes are scheduled to resume on January 9.
Morris Brown College officials raised 60-thousand dollars Saturday to help pay the water bill.
