KENNESAW, Ga. (AP) - A Kennesaw youth minister and magician has
been indicted on child pornography charges after federal agents found more than 5,000 images on his home computer.
Jeffrey Alan Wasley, known as "Magic Jeff," was indicted Monday by a federal grand jury. A bond hearing is scheduled for Dec. 30.
Authorities say Wasley took videos of boys as young as 4 using public restrooms. The former amusement park magician was arrested in July on child molestation charges for allegedly having inappropriate contact with a boy at a store in Kennesaw.
Those charges are pending.
Police say Wasley tried to commit suicide when officers went to his home Dec. 11 to serve a warrant for the federal charges. He served as youth minister at Calvary Jesus Church in Kennesaw.
