ATLANTA (AP) - Traffic is moving again - slowly - on Atanta's downtown connector after a fatal wreck.
Police say two people were killed in the car that crashed as it was exiting at Piedmont Avenue from the northbound HOV lane of Interstates 85-75 about 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
State Department of Transportation spokesman Bryan Gunter said the car, which reportedly had refused to halt for a routine traffic stop, fell off the HOV ramp onto the southbound exit ramp to Freedom Parkway.
Traffic was stalled in both directions, and Gunter says both exit ramps are still closed.
He says the rush hour will be "more intense" as a result.
