Authorities believe they have found the body of a 22-year-old Paulding County woman missing for 12 days. She apparently died in a car wreck.
Cobb County Police Department spokesman Dana Pierce says investigators are "all but certain" they've identified the body
of Laneeka Varnado.
Cause of death was not immediately determined. However, investigators say foul play was not involved.
Varnado was last seen by her father the Monday before Thanksgiving.
An Austell property owner discovered her silver Mercedes, with the body inside, Saturday afternoon off the C.H. James Parkway on State Route 6.
The car was found some 200 feet off the highway.
Pierce says Varnado's father, Melvin Mackey, was at the scene and confirmed the car belonged to his missing daughter.
