The shooting happened at about 12:30 p.m. Sunday in Newnan.
Yeager said the slain teenager's uncle was also hit by gunfire,
but his injuries were not considered life threatening.
The sheriff identified the deceased shooter as Reginald Hines.
Investigators concluded the shootings were triggered by a domestic dispute between Hines and the teen's mother.
