Burglary suspects nabbed after citizen's tip

ATHENS, Ga. (AP) - Athens-Clarke police believe two men jailed
in a theft case are responsible for a rash of car break-ins and home burglaries across the county.

Police got a break Wednesday when a citizen called 911 after he
witnessed two men breaking into cars in an East Athens

Police Sgt. Randy Garrett said officers arrested 25-year-old
Jaidercus Johnson and 29-year-old Roderick Moreland. He said
Johnson faces 12 counts of possessing stolen property after
officers seized pilfered goods from his residence.

The two men also are suspects in other break-ins.

Athens-Clark Police encourage more citizens to report suspicious
activity, especially in neighborhoods.
