Georgia Early Voters Come in Droves

Georgia Secretary of State Karen Handel's Office
says about 35 percent of the state's registered voters have cast
ballots in early voting.

Hundreds of people in Coweta County -- about 35 miles southwest
of Atlanta -- lined up under sunny skies today to cast a ballot on
the final day of advance voting.

The county received federal approval to hold Saturday voting in
1986. Polls were open from 9 a.m. to noon at the county
administration building in downtown Newnan.

Elsewhere in the state, advance voting ended yesterday.
Polls for the presidential election open across Georgia at 7
a.m. Tuesday.
