TIFTON, Ga. (AP) - A judge in south Georgia will hold a hearing
on a motion by several media outlets to allow electronic and
photographic coverage of the sentencing of one of four people
accused of killing six Mexican immigrants.
During Friday's hearing, Judge Gary McCorvey is expected to explain the rules for media coverage on the Dec. 8 sentenceing hearing for Jamie Underwood.
Underwood pleaded guilty back in September and has been sentenced to 120 years in prison on three of four counts.
The sentencing hearing for the fourth count, which includes murder
charges, is being held separately because the state is seeking the death penalty.
