EAST POINT, Ga. (AP) - Authorities in East Point, Georgia, are reporting
a woman is now charged with arson and reckless conduct after she
tried to set her home on fire while her child and elderly mother were still inside.
According to investigators, 40 year old Doris Williams set a mattress on fire around nine o'clock monday night.
Her mother and child got out of the home safely.
Officers reponding to a call about an intoxicated woman said they found williams a few minutes later, and she admitted to setting the fire and told them she was sick of the people in the house.
