SYLVESTER, Ga. (AP) - It's time for Georgia to go nuts.

The 45th annual Georgia Peanut Festival is this weekend in
Sylvester. The festival opens at 9 a.m. at T.C. Jeffords park on
U.S. Highway 82.

Events include an arts and crafts festival, a parade and a dance. The southwest Georgia town is home to a Peter Pan peanut butter plant, one of the biggest employers in the area.

The festival celebrates Georgia's long-standing legacy as the
top peanut producer in the country with more than 2 billion pounds
produced annually.
