SNELLVILLE, Ga. (AP) - A Snellville businessman who said he was
stabbed and robbed of $200,000 admitted he made up the story.
According to Snellville Police Chief Roy Whitehead, 47-year-old Michael Earl Kicklighter even picked a suspect out of a photo lineup.
Kicklighter had told police he was attacked by a man back on June 13 after he withdrew the money from a bank. But detectives determined
Kicklighter stabbed himself and wanted to keep the money. Kicklighter was arrested and was released from the Gwinnett County Jail on bond.
