BACONTON, Ga. (AP) - An Oakfield man has drowned in the Flint River in southwest Georgia.
Baker County Interim Sheriff Dana Meade says 44-year-old Ronald Parrish was wading in the water near Outpost boat landing in Baconton when strong currents swept him away on Saturday. Boaters
found his body downstream.
Authorities say Parrish and a friend were trying to find arrowheads.
